Mowat Centre welcomes Mike Moffatt as Chief Economist

The Mowat Centre today announced the appointment of Mike Moffatt as the Centre’s new Chief Economist.

Mr Moffatt is an Assistant Professor in the Business, Economics and Public Policy (BEPP) group at the Ivey Business School and a Research Fellow at the Lawrence National Centre for Policy and Management. He will now also serve in a senior advisory capacity for the Mowat Centre on economic issues.

“We’re delighted to bring Mike on board as the Centre’s Chief Economist,” said Mowat Director Matthew Mendelsohn. “His ongoing work at Ivey and the Lawrence Centre is well known and widely respected and I know Mike will now also add tremendous value to Mowat’s research agenda.”

Mr Moffatt is a regular contributor for Canadian Business and Macleans.ca, and has provided media commentary on economic issues and public policy for CBC, the National Post, and other media. He is also member of the Mowat Centre’s Editorial Board.
