Andrew Jackson spent a long career as the Chief Economist and Director of Social and Economic Policy with the Canadian Labour Congress until 2012. In 2011, he was awarded the University of Toronto’s Sefton Prize for his lifetime contribution to industrial relations in Canada
Mr. Jackson was the Packer Visiting Professor of Social Justice at York University for the academic years 2012-13 and 2013-14, and is the senior policy advisor to the Broadbent Institute.
Educated at the London School of Economics (BSc and MSc in Economics) and the University of British Columbia, Andrew Jackson is the author of many articles and four books, including Work and Labour in Canada: Critical Issues which is in its second edition with Canadian Scholars Press.
