Khuong Truong joined the Mowat Centre at the end of June 2018. He is currently a PhD Candidate in Economics at McMaster University. His research focuses on an array of topics in applied micro-econometrics and labour economics, especially topics focusing on immigrants and their children. He is interested in economic and social policy, especially work concerning education, and immigration and diversity. He has experienced in analyzing multiple years of Canadian Census, and in using the large-scale direct assessments of competencies/skills in the 2012 Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) and the 2003 Adult Literacy and Lifeskills Survey (ALL).
