Stefanie is a part of the Mowat Centre team as the Executive Assistant to the Director and the centre’s Project Coordinator. She graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours degree specializing in Archaeology, Social/Cultural Anthropology and Classical Civilizations.

Before joining Mowat, Stefanie spent five years in the Ontario Public Service where she coordinated key initiatives and activities in diverse portfolios including Archaeology; Culture and Tourism policy; Sport, Recreation and Community programs and policy, and the 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games.

Prior to her work in the public sector, Stefanie worked as an Archaeological Consultant throughout Southern Ontario assessing the archaeological potential of various rural and urban areas, excavating and mitigating sites of particular archaeological importance. Stefanie also spent a number of years living in South Korea where she taught English as a Second Language. This gave her the invaluable opportunity to travel extensively in Korea, China and Japan and in South East Asia to countries such as Cambodia, Thailand and Laos.
