We sat down with some of Canada’s future leaders, ranging in age from six to nine, to discuss Canada’s upcoming federal budget.

Many issues that are consistently top of mind for voters (the economy, environment, transit and childcare) are also important for young people. Although, when asked how much money the federal government spends each year, we heard a broad range of answers.
Clearly, there are a lot of big issues on the minds of young people, including Halloween festivals and tax policy. It will be interesting to see if the federal government incorporates any of these suggestions in its April 21st budget.
